Long Time, No See

I sure haven't been up to much...hence why I haven't blogged. What's been going on? Well..I've been subbing, and that's about it. I like it, but I BADLY want my own classroom. I'm trying to do the best I can each day, so it may lead to a full-time position. I am also planning my wedding. I'm getting a lot done :) I love it! This wknd I'm going home to my mom's and some of my girls are coming down to help get flower arrangements made, invitations stuffed, and the archway painted. I love knowing that I am going to marry Roger in 4 months and 2 days!! YAAAY!! I hope all is well for each of you. <3

Negativity

My long term sub position ended last Thursday since school was out on Friday. I was excited to get started subbing in Willis again to open up two different school districts that I could hopefully work in. I've heard sub positions in Willis are hard to get sometimes, and then sometimes you get called all the time. I just feel discouraged with all of this. I want a full time job. Not a subbing job. I know that in time it will happen, but sometimes it's just too much to handle. I know God has a plan, but goodness. I know jobs are about to start opening because contracts are about to be done. I need to think on the positive, but negativity sweeps over my mind sometimes. I just want someone to take a chance on me. Hopefully someone will.

I love this picture of us. I am so ready for our wedding. I think about it everyday. I can't wait for this man to be my husband. He is the sweetest, most amazing man I've ever met. I love him with all my heart.

Something that stresses me out-28th Day!

Man...this blog challenege is taking FOREVER! I feel like January has been the longest month!

Something that stresses me out...well I don't think it's just something. I think a lot of things stress me out. Tension and drama stresses me out. Having a little while to do something stresses me out. Driving in heavy traffic stresses me out too. Other than that, I'm trying not to get stressed out a lot. :)

Pets-27th Day

My cat's name is Milly McNeel. She is called Milly Jean and Milly Boo...depends on my mood. She is a wonderful cat with a sweet personality. I never was big on cats when I was growing up, but Roger and I wanted a pet. We know we're not home enough for a dog, so we settled for a cat. I got her from the vet in Mexia about 4 years ago. She is grateful I got her :) She love us a lot. She is very fat and everyone thinks so. They let me know when they see her. Haha..we need to put her on a diet! Anyways here is a picture of her!

I so wish Kari was in this picture. My parents took a vacation 2 summers ago with Kari to go see my aunts in Oregon. They drove down the coast of California. I couldn't go because of hectic summer classes. Then, this past summer we went on it again, except Kari couldn't go. Eventually I want us to all go together. It would be a fun trip.

I love my family. They are the best on Earth!

Something I've Learned-24th Day

I've learned it's so great to trust in Jesus. I've also learned that family is the most important thing in my life after God. They make me happy! I love being able to spend as much time with them as I can. It wasn't until I started dating Roger that I realized how important family is. He taught me that, among tons of other things. I love the relationship I've created with Roger, and the relationship I have with my family because of him. <3

Favorite Vacation-23rd day!

Hmm....my favorite vacation with my family was when we would go to Galveston when I was growing up. I'm pretty sure I have gone to Galveston every summer I've been alive. We used to leave in the middle of the night and drive there. When we would wake up, we'd be there! I used to love rolling the windows down and hearing and seeing the ocean. It still makes me happy to do that at 22.

I am predicting my favorite vacation to share with Roger will be our honeymoon. It will be our first real vacation together as a couple. I can't wait! :) We are going on a 7 day cruise on the Carnival Conquest. We are leaving June 26th and coming back July 3rd. We get to go to Nassau, Bahamas, Freeport, Bahamas, and Key West, Florida. In Nassau, we are going to take a bus to Atlantis. We will swim with dolphins and then go to the Atlantis waterpark. I have always wanted to go there since Mary-Kate and Ashley did a movie that took place there lol. Then in Freeport we plan to go shopping at the marketplace. In Key West, we plan to just relax on the beach and sightsee. It's going to be a great experience that I am so so so so so so excited for!

Substituting

My 3rd grade class I'm with right now is WONDERFUL! I am having such a great time with them. They are smart, creative, and positive. Third grade is a good grade to teach. They are old enough to be able to read/write pretty well, but still young enough to have fun and respect you. I am loving being the "teacher" everyday too. I'm doing very well at it. I'm busy, busy all week, but I LOVE it!!

What is in my makeup bag-22nd day!

Wow...my make-up bag has so much stuff in it. I have about 4 mascaras, base, blush, lip gloss, lip stick, eyeliner, lots of eye shadow, perfume, deodorant, bobby pins, mini brush and mirror, concealer, and moisturizer. It's a cute polka dot bag :)

Nicknames-20th Day

Nicknames I have from my family is Sarah Bell. Kari and my dad still call me that sometimes. I love it :)

My friends call me Sarah Brooke a lot (which isn't my nickname, it's my real name) lol, but they add Brooke to it. My friend Erin and I came up with S Bro a loooong time ago haha, so I was called that some in high school.

Something I MIss-19th Day!

I miss quite a few things. I miss being able to see my family when I wake up. When you're young, all you think about is moving out. Then when you do, you begin to miss the people you used to see everyday. I miss family times with my parents and sister. I love when we all get together. That's when I'm happiest.

I also miss my friends. Friends I used to see everyday at school, I only see occasionally now. I wish we all lived closer together, so we could get together more.

Right now, I miss the warmth and sunshine. After Christmas, I'm done with the cold weather. This winter it seems like that's when the cold started. Well I'm over it. I'm ready to be able to lay out by the pool and get some sun. I plan on doing that very often when it warms up!

Something I Regret-18th Day!

Honestly..I don't regret very many things. I think there are things I think back and say "I don't know why I did that", but I think God puts you through situations to shape who you are. If I had to say something I regret, it would be breaking up with Roger when we first started dating. I was 16/17...I was so young, so I didn't know what I wanted at first. I did figure out quick life was way better with him though. :) We've been together since. Almost 6 years!

Something I'm Looking Forward To-17th Day!

I am looking forward to our SEVEN day honeymoon cruise! Winter is not my favorite season by any means. I love the sun, so this is something I keep thinking about. I cannot wait to spend this vacation with Roger. It's going to be so much fun and amazing!

Dream House-16th Day!

Well...my dream house. I don't have a picture, but I can describe it. I know that Roger and I want a house with a lot of acreage. We would like a pond on it, so he can go fishing. We want a four wheeler to ride around on our land. The house itself I want big enough to have kids. I want a pool and a hot tub! I would like a outside kitchen area by our pool to grill and cook in the summers.

Bible Verse-15th day!

My favorite bible verse has to be Jeremiah 29:11. "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." Theressa gave me a present when I was about to start my methods block at Sam. It was a card (that I still have in my car) that just told me to keep going and I'm going to be the best teacher. Then, she gave me a little sign that can stand up on a shelf that has this bible verse on it. It keeps me knowing that God has a great plan for me. Theressa's also told me that God isn't going to call me to do something and provide for me. Her words have helped me be patient and know that He is has the perfect spot for me. I can't wait to see what it is :)

A Picture I Love-14th Day

This is one of the pictures Andrea Lopez took of us. I absolutely fell in love with this picture! It's called a "love story". She told Roger to check me out, and look where his eyes went! Lol this just had me laughing, and it makes me so happy.
